Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I have a profoundly simple method of sitting in God's presence. I hope that many of you
will also be blessed as I offer it for free here and will add mediations as I am inspired to do so.
You see, salvation is today......
(For
he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of
salvation have I succoured thee: behold,
now
is the accepted time;
behold,
now
is the day of
salvation.) 2 Cor 6:2 (KJV)
If your mind is in yesterday or tomorrow you will not find
God's Spirit moving there. He is in the moment but we have forgotten how to stay with Him. Our souls have fallen asleep, adrift on
the words of voices within. We live in yesterday's glories and troubles and in tomorrows hopes and dreams.
This meditation
began with Roy Master's and I still heartily recommend his meditation process but have found that I much prefer my own version
which I offer here for free.
I found this meditation process works much better than the popular 'soaking'
method which encourages one into deeper fixations and dreamstates with its soothing musics and sleeping position. Soaking actually
deepens the hypnotic state causing you to pull further from Reality/God.
1 Blessed
is the man that walketh
not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight
is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he
meditate day and night. Psalms 1:1-2 (KJV)
You will discover that you are meditating
all the time anyway...but in a way where you are not aware of it. Your mind is either on good things or bad things....correct thoughts
or incorrect ones all day long and you are simply flowing helplessly along in the stream of thought....caught up and not able to seperate
from wrong thinking.
What this meditation does is pull you out of the stream of thought so that you can observe what is going
on and puts you in a place where you can see and hear more clearly.
Please don't skip the introduction as it sets the stage
for the meditation.
Blessings,
----Pastor Sharon
